Do I require a Confluence Cloud subscription to use this app?

Yes, you do. Confluence Cloud subscriptions are sold and managed by Atlassian, and more information can be found here.

What content does this app search?

At present, Fluence returns pages and posts. Attachments and other macros are not currently supported - either in search results or the content previews due to technical limitations.

Are there any limitations to the CQL support?

For the most part, no. However we do automatically append a filter to ensure that results returned by your CQL queries are of the post or page type as other content types (such as attachments) are not yet supported in Fluence previews. Some advanced CQL operators may also result in unexpected behaviour when using the app.
